Support and advice to live your life free.
Who Are We?
Our aim is to put ‘hope’ within reach of those trapped in addiction and support them to live lives free from addiction.
Teen Challenge Dorset (TCD) is a Christian Outreach Organisation serving Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, and the surrounding area. We focus on helping those in the community who have life controlling addictions and many of whom are homeless.
TCD is part of the charity TCUK. We have 6 residential rehabs across the country. TCUK also has a post rehab residential training centre ‘Horizon Life Training’ where a wide range of workplace skills and qualifications can be achieved, as well as the ‘School of Ministry’ for those wanting to do further bible studies, all whilst still receiving bespoke personal support.
What We Do
We have two paid support workers who offer 1-1 support to individuals caught in addiction. This involves supporting them in the community, referring them to the rehab centres and providing after care once they leave. These roles are vital in offering individual care plans to those wanting to break free from addiction.
We have outreach teams of volunteers from various Churches who go out on the streets of Boscombe, Bournemouth and Poole. Volunteers build relationships with those they meet and offer crucial support.
We hold weekly support groups, social events, work training and work opportunities.
Who Do We Work Alongside?
We work closely with and take referrals from the following agencies:
• Local churches
• Probation
• Social care
• Homeless services
• YMCA/Housing projects
• GP Surgeries
• Drug & Alcohol services
• Christians Against Poverty (CAP)
• Faithworks
• Food Bank
• Many other agencies
New Schools Project
We are in the early stages of creating a team to visit
schools and youth clubs to offer education, support, and preventative work to young people. This could be young people who are at risk of substance misuse or young people impacted by misuse within their families or networks. This is such a crucial work.
We anticipate this work starting soon, having agreement already in place to visit most secondary schools and numerous youth clubs in the area. This is an exciting new project which we believe will make a significant difference in the lives of our local young people.

Before I met Teen Challenge, I had spent around 10 years in addiction, I had tried everything to get clean and sober but always seemed to return to what I knew would help block out past events. I was stuck in a downward spiral! But after engaging with Teen Challenge, I have received incredible support which has helped me to turn my life around.
